Flu Vaccines for 2011

On August 22, 2011 the Board of Health received correspondence from the Office of Health & Human Services Department of Public Health stating that the BOH is no longer able to provide vaccines, including the influenza vaccine, for insured adults 19 years of age or older.

State supplied vaccines are intended for children 6-18 years of age in all settings and for uninsured or underinsured adults in public sector settings. Fully insured individuals are not eligible to receive state supplied vaccine for the 2011-2012 influenza season.

Flu vaccines may be obtained from your primary care physician or at a local pharmacy such as CVS, Rite Aid or Walgreens. Please note that these vaccines would be billed to your insurance company.

If you have any questions, please call the Board of Health at 508-697-0903.
