Folklore/Folk Music of the US South, Cleveland Kurtz


Cleveland Kurtz, President & CEO of the Rhode Island Rhythm and Blues Preservation Society will speak on the history of Blues, Tuesday March 13 at 11 AM, Heritage Room, Maxwell Library.

Learn about the history of Blues in the United States from a long-time blues master, Cleveland Kurtz. Mr. Kurtz will talk about notable names in the history of US blues. The Rhode Island Rhythm and Blues Preservation Society is a non-profit dedicated to promoting and preserving the African American heritage tradition, folklore and history of blues music through public education. Sponsored by the BSU Anthropology Department.
