AAUW Meeting


On Wednesday, April 10th, the Taunton branch of the AAUW (American Association of University Women) will meet at The Arbors, 763 County Street, Taunton. The meeting will begin at 6:30p.m. All branch meetings are open to the public.

Those attending will watch the film---North Country---a fictionalized account of the first major successful sexual harassment case in the United States -- Jenson vs. Eveleth Mines, where a woman who endured a range of abuse while working as a miner filed and won the landmark 1984 lawsuit.

AAUW membership is open to any graduate holding an Associate or equivalent, Baccalaureate or higher degree from a qualified educational institution. Undergraduates may become AAUW affiliate members.
