Busy Times for GBWOT

On Saturday, October 19th Greater Bridgewater Women of Today held a Fall Cider & Bake sale at Winter Place in Bridgewater. GBWOT Members Jennifer White and Kate LaRose co-chaired the event where members and their children made baked goods, sold apple cider and gave away free munchkins donated by Dunkin Donuts. Roche Brothers in Bridgewater donated the apple cider and Citizens Bank in Bridgewater gave the group $50 toward supplies and donated another $50 toward the cause. Total proceeds from the event were $200 which will go to help families in need and the GBWOT general fund.

The group’s next event is a restaurant fundraiser at Papa Gino’s in Bridgewater on Thursday, November 21st from 4-9 PM. Guests can bring the flyer found on the group’s website and 20% of their dine-in or carry out total will be donated to Bridgewater-Raynham TJ2 Robotics Program. In it’s 19th year, the Robotics program is open to students of all grades and promotes STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). Funds raised during the Papa Gino’s Fundraiser, will help fund a student to participate in the program. For more information on the Robotics program, visit their website at www.tj2.org

Also, during the month of November, Greater Bridgewater will use their special “in” with St. Nick to mail out personalized letters from Santa. The cost per letter is $5, and order forms can be found on the group’s website. GBWOT is a volunteer organization that performs community service, raises funds to support local and national charities, and foster friendships. GBWOT meetings are open to the public and are held on the third Monday of the month.
