Transition Planning and Self-Determination for Students with Special Needs

The Bridgewater-Raynham Special Education Parents Advisory Council presents:
Transition Planning and Self-Determination for Students with Special Needs
This lecture will discuss transition planning and self-determination for students with special needs. It will also address student led IEP meetings and having our students take a more active role in their education/IEP meetings. The target audience for this lecture is middle school - high school students and/or parents.
Lecture given by Kara Kuntupis, a teacher at Bridgewater-Raynham High School. She has been teaching students with special needs for 19 years - pre-school to high school. This is her 7th year at the high school level. She is also a visiting lecturer for BSU. She is really interested in working with students so that they can take a more active role in the decision making process for their transition.
