Heifer International Living Gift Market at Central Square Church

Since 1944, Heifer International has helped more than 18.5 million families in more than 125 countries move toward greater self-reliance through the gift of livestock and training in environmentally sound agriculture. The impact of each initial gift is multiplied as recipients agree to Pass on the Gift by giving one or more of their animal’s offspring to another in need. January was Heifer month in the Sunday School at Central Square Congregational Church, 71 Central Square (on the common) in Bridgewater. Each class had an opportunity to choose an animal they wish to sponsor, learn about the care and feeding of that animal, where it would best be placed in the world, and most importantly why we give to this project.

A celebration and fundraiser for Heifer, the Living Gift Market, is on Sunday, February, 2nd at 11:30am, in the church Fellowship Hall. All are cordially invited to help support the children’s efforts to raise money for each animal they are sponsoring and learn more about their individual Heifer projects. They will offer you delicious food to purchase, games to play, entertainment, and more. Come and enjoy the event that has become a tradition at Central Square Congregational Church, the Living Gift Market a Heifer International event), and see what creative ideas the youth have come up with to truly represent and celebrate their chosen animals!
