Presentation on the Amazon Rainforest

The Bridgewater Public Library will host world traveler Dana Zaiser on Tuesday, April 29th at 6:30p.m. for a presentation on the Amazon Rainforest.

Dana will talk about his recent cultural and ecological cruise up the Rio Negro. The Rio Negro is one of the largest tributaries of the Amazon River. Did you know there are dolphins in the river in the middle of South America? Dana will discuss the proper technique for catching piranha, among other interesting subjects during this free illustrated presentation.

Dana got the traveling bug in 1995 while on a trip to Alaska. After that trip, he and his wife traveled to Hawaii, Australia, Costa Rica, Belize, London, Paris, Rome and Barcelona. Dana was able to explore his family genealogy while visiting distant cousins in Germany. He and his wife were also involved in a shipwreck during one of their cruises in 1995.

Dana is a registered pharmacist and lives in Norton with his wife.

The Amazon Rainforest will be held in the Flora T. Little Meeting Room on the lower level of the library. Parking is available in back of the library, located at 15 South Street.
