Pinot, Picasso & Pipes

The Friends of the Bridgewater Public Library will sponsor “Pinot, Picasso & Pipes” on Saturday, April 18th, from 7-10p.m. at the library. This fundraising event is for adults age 21 and over, and will include a wine and beer tasting, as well as appetizers, desserts, coffee and soft drinks, and a selection of live music and local art to stimulate your palate and your senses.

“Pinot, Picasso & Pipes” will include live music by two local groups. Capriol Consort, named for a character in a 16th century dance manual, has been in existence since the early 1990’s. They will perform a concert of music on recorders, including the tiny sopranino, the great bass and all sizes in between.

The Male Bonding Band will also perform. They are a group of local musicians who have been together for 15 years and describe their music as “eclectic”. They often perform at local concerts and festivals, with a mix of rock, folk and ethnic music.

A selection of wine and beer will be supplied by Bernier’s Liquors. Other donations are courtesy of Roche Brothers, Bruno’s Pizzeria, D’Angelos, Bridgewater Village Bakery, Prisco’s Market, Cake in a Box, and Just Desserts.

Exhibiting artists include Mark Young, Felipe Miguel, Fernando DaSilva, Rusty Green, and Karen Callahan.

Advance tickets are available at the library: $15/person. A special offer is available to members of the Friends of the BWPL at 2 tickets for $25 (in advance only). Tickets at the door are $20/person or $15/person for members of the Friends of the BWPL.

“Pinot, Picasso & Pipes” will be the major spring fundraiser sponsored by the Friends of the Bridgewater Public Library. Money raised by the Friends helps support library programs and services, including events for children and adults, museum passes, and library books and materials.
