Four Residents Honored by Rotary Club of the Bridgewaters

A community-minded evangelist for healthy living. A busy entrepreneur with three children. A retired couple spending their time in service to an area food bank. These four individuals were honored on Tuesday night, October 18, 2016, for their meaningful contributions to their communities.

The Rotary Club of the Bridgewaters, in partnership with Grand Sponsor Bridgewater Savings Bank, honored the following persons:

Samuel Baumgarten, Bridgewater
Rose-Marie Culp, East Bridgewater
Calvin and Frances Gray, West Bridgewater

Since 2000 the local Rotary club has been honoring local leaders for their contributions to improving the quality of life in the Bridgewaters. The Purposes of the awards are (1) to recognize individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the quality of life in the respective communities where they live and/or work, and (2) to raise funds to support high school scholarships and other charitable activities of the Rotary Club of the Bridgewaters.

This year’s celebration was held at the Center at Sachem Rock in East Bridgewater. Approximately 100 people gathered for the inspiring ceremony, with Club President Akee Parwaz the Master of Ceremonies. Honorees and guests enjoyed a dessert reception following the ceremony.
