American Association of University Women

On Saturday, December 10, the Taunton branch of the AAUW (American Association of University Women) will celebrate their annual Holiday Brunch at the home of Louise Freeman, beginning at 11:00 a.m.

The guest speaker will be Cady Landa, an American Fellow at Brandeis University, who will speak about Immigrant Integration, Education, and Organizational Theory. Cady received one of AAUW’s International Fellowships, which have been awarded to some 3,300 women from more than 130 nations since the program’s inception in 1917.

A second speaker is Dane Lao, an international exchange student from Cambodia who is currently studying at Bridgewater State University.

The AAUW Education Foundation is the world’s largest source of funding exclusively for graduate women students. The Scholarships support aspiring scholars around the world, teachers and activists in local communities, women at critical stages of their careers, and those pursuing professions where women are underrepresented.

AAUW membership is open to any graduate holding an associate or equivalent, baccalaureate or higher degree from a qualified educational institution. Undergraduates may become AAUW affiliate members.
