Writing Workshop: The Importance Of The First 10 Pages

An informative program presented by Jessica Reino on February 7th @ 6:30 pm at the Bridgewater Public Library.

For writers who are interested in either obtaining a literary agent and want to go the traditional publishing route or even those who would like to self-publish.  Tone, pacing, narrative voice, overall theme, story structure, and stakes will be discussed.  Also discussed will be what agents and editors look for in the first ten pages and what would make them want to read on to pick up the whole manuscript.

Jessica Reino is a freelance editor specializing in developmental editing, line editing and proofreading. She has worked with businesses, individual authors, as well as independent publishing houses. She is a contributor for The CWG Online Magazine and The Mindsoak Podcast blog.
