BSU to Hold its Largest Job Fair

Nearly 150 employers representing a broad spectrum of professional fields will attend the annual Bridgewater State University Job & Internship Fair on Thursday, April 13 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

To accommodate demand, the fair will again be staged at the Tinsley Center, 325 Plymouth St., with free parking nearby. Organized by the Office of Career Services for nearly two decades, the fair is open to the general public, students at other college campuses in the region, current BSU students, alumni and the campus community.

In addition to those organizations in attendance, resume collections for several dozen companies not in attendance will be available. Entry-level career opportunities as well as internships in accounting, aviation, banking/finance, human/social services, communications, technology, sales, customer service, retail, insurance, sciences and management will be available. Most positions are looking for candidates with a four-year degree or a minimum two-year degree.

For details about participating businesses and organizations, visit Professional dress is recommended. Attendees are encouraged to research organizations prior to the event and to bring plenty of resumes. Bridgewater students and alumni can have their resumes reviewed by career services staff.

While the fair’s primary audience is third- and fourth-year students, first- and second-year BSU students are also encouraged to attend to look for internships as well as gain experience at job fairs by inquiring about professional opportunities.
