Day Of Giving at BSU

Bridgewater State University is hosting its second annual Day of Giving Challenge, a 24-hour online fundraising drive, on Wednesday, April 5. The goal this year is to acquire 500 donors, nearly doubling the number of supporters in the inaugural year of the campaign
As last year’s 175th anniversary of the institution proved, a lot can happen in one day. BSU exceeded its goals during the first online Day of Giving Challenge. The initial goal was to attain 175 donors in celebration of BSU’s historic day. Instead, the effort raised more than $25,000 from 262 donors – all to support BSU students.
During the Day of Giving Challenge, BSU community members are encouraged to donate as well as spread the word through social media. The challenge is an opportunity for alumni, parents, friends, faculty and students to make a difference in a short period of time, uniting around a common goal.
Donors can designate their gifts to the fund of their choice – such as paid internships, financial aid or scholarship programs.
The Day of Giving Challenge generates awareness and builds a culture of philanthropy and generosity at BSU, all while providing the institution with an opportunity to tell its story, inspire its numerous audiences, and acquire new donors to support its students.
