Flora T. Little Art Gallery

The Bridgewater Public Library will feature an exhibit of photographs created by Bridging L.I.V.E.S. youth, in partnership with the Brockton Area Opioid Abuse Prevention Collaborative. The PhotoVoice Project will be on display in the Flora T. Little Art Gallery for the month of May.

In 2016, Bridging L.I.V.E.S. facilitated a PhotoVoice Project with youth from Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School (BR). Bridging L.I.V.E.S. is a community substance use prevention coalition in the towns of Bridgewater and Raynham. The coalition is part of a larger regional substance use prevention effort, the Brockton Area Opioid Overdose Prevention Collaborative.

PhotoVoice is a form of qualitative research that gives cameras to participants in order to respond to broad based questioning around a specific topic. During this time, BR students focused on the issue of substance use (including drugs and alcohol) in the local area. These pictures are documentation of the final results of this project. We hope that you observe and reflect on each photograph and written statement by the participants.

The Flora T. Little Gallery is open during regular library hours: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9a.m.-8p.m.; Thursday 10a.m.-5p.m., Friday, Saturday 10a.m.-2p.m.
