Songs of World War II

The Bridgewater Council on Aging and the Bridgewater Cultural Council have come together and are pleased to announce the forthcoming appearance of singing star Ruth Harcovitz, Ms. Massachusetts USA 2017, in her program, SONGS OF WORLD WAR II.

The show commemorates the end of the Second World War in May 1945, a time when the world was new, hearts were young, and life was free once again.

Ms. Harcovitz’s presentation will include favorites from the era, such as “Accentuate the Positive” “White Cliffs of Dover,” and “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.”

The program will take place at the Bridgewater Senior Center on Wednesday, June 7 at 12:45 following a special luncheon at 12 noon. The donation for the luncheon is $4. Reservations are required and may be made by signing up at the senior center or calling them at (508) 697-0929. All senior citizens and veterans are all cordially invited to attend

As Ms. Massachusetts USA, Ms. Harcovitz will be traveling to Las Vegas in mid-May to compete for the title of Ms. Senior USA. We wish her well. Ruth is in constant demand throughout the country for her beautiful voice, warm personality, and wide variety of exciting programs.

This performance is supported in part by a grant from the Bridgewater Cultural Council, a local agency, the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency, and the Bridgewater Council on Aging. (This full credit and its wording are mandatory in all publicity, per the Massachusetts Cultural Council.)
