The Majesty and Mystery of Crop Circles

“The Majesty and Mystery of Crop Circles” with Naturalist John Root at the Bridgewater Public Library on Tuesday, June 13th @ 6:30 pm.

A presentation featuring designs that have been appearing with increasing sophistication during the past three decades in farmers’ fields and other locations all over the world. Layered weaving of plants in the fields as well as anatomical changes observed in these plants is presented as evidence of powerful and mysterious energies at work. Effects on electronic equipment, soils, animals, and human visitors are also described. Interpretations of these intricate and exquisite formations, many of which occur near sacred sites and refer to mystical traditions, are discussed as well.

Audiences are invited to share their reactions to these images and to speculate about how and why they are manifesting on our landscape.

The event, which begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Bridgewater Public Library, is free and open to the public.

Supported in part by a grant from the Bridgewater Cultural Council, a local agency that is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
