Rotary of the Bridgewaters District Scholarship Fund

The Bridgewater Rotary District has a $30,000 scholarship opportunity for an individual who is or going to be studying at the graduate level in another country. The money can be used over a period of 2 years, but there cannot be a partial award - the full $30,000 has to go to one person; and that person has to demonstrate that he/she needs at least that amount. The candidate has to have graduated from a high school or college within District 7950, (South of Boston - Quincy South and East of Route 95 and all of RI) and the candidate doesn't have to have backing from a local Rotary club.

Areas of study have to be in one of the following six areas: peace and conflict prevention/resolution; disease prevention and treatment; water and sanitation; maternal and child health; basic education and literacy; and economic and community development.

Applications are available on the RI website; and the deadline is March 1, with an in person, Face Time or Skype interview before April 1.

This is a great opportunity for someone pursuing a graduate degree overseas.
