FY19 Public Disclosure Notice for Proposed Assessments

The town has received notification from the Bureau of Local Assessments that preliminary certification was issued. The Town of Bridgewater Board of Assessors is conducting a Public Disclosure of values as part of the Fiscal 2019 Re-Certification program as required by statute.

Values were calculated at "Full and Fair Cash Value" using sales data between 1/1/2016 and 12/31/2017. The valuation date for Fiscal Year 2019 is January 1, 2018. The Revaluation resulted in percent increases in value from 4% to 8% for most Residential properties and 2% to 5% for Commercial properties.

The Assessors completed the revaluation project with the assistance of Consultants from
pk Valuation Group. The public disclosure period where the proposed values will be available for review will commence November 16, 2018 and continue through November 26, 2018. The proposed values will be posted in the Library and on the Town of Bridgewater’s website as well as the Assessor’s office located at 66 Central Square, Bridgewater, Ma 02324.
