Upcoming programs at Bridgewater Public Library in the Children’s Room

Tuesday, June 4 @ 10:30-11:00 a.m.: Story Time with Miss Emily. Stories, games, a craft and FUN! All ages with adult, no registration.

Wednesday, June 5 @ 9:30-10:00 a.m.: Book Babies. Lapsit for children up to 30 months with caregiver. Join Mrs. Davis for rhymes, songs, story and playtime. No registration.

Wednesday, June 5 @ 10:30-11:00 a.m.: Story time and craft. Drop in story time for all ages with adult. Join Mrs. Davis for stories, songs, rhymes and a craft. All ages, no registration.

Monday, June 10: Registration opens for Family Yoga Series held at the Bridgewater Public Library. Program will be Fridays from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on July 12, July 19, July 26, August 2, August 9 and August 16. Caregivers and children will learn basic yoga postures through storytelling and songs. Families will practice mindfulness and relaxation as well as have fun! Everyone will come away with social and play skills in addition to learning how to be a mindful, less stressed family. Tuesday, June 18 @ 10:30-11:30 a.m.: Uno, Dos, Tres Spanish Story Hour with Maureen Holbrook

Join us for Spanish Story Hour! This Spanish-language program consists of stories, music, movement, games and is recommended for ages 3-7. This six week program begins on Tuesday, June 18 at 10:00-11:00 a.m. (Other dates will be on Tuesdays: June 25, July 2, July 9, July 30 and August 6). There is NO registration for this program. Week 1.

Friday, June 21: Summer Reading Sale! Our summer reading sale in the Used Book Store
begins with all children's books, CDs, and DVDs half off. All children’s items are now 50¢, today thru August 13, 2019.

Saturday, June 22: Registration begins for Summer Reading. Open to ages 0-12, sign up for Summer Reading 2019, the theme this year is “A Universe of Stories”! Registration for Summer Reading must be done in person at the Bridgewater Public Library.

Saturday, June 22 @ 10:30-11:30 a.m.: Read to Duncan, our lovable therapy dog. The “Read to a Dog” program provides children the opportunity to visit with a dog while building reading skills in a non-judgmental environment. No registration, all ages welcome.

Monday, June 24 @ 6:30 p.m.: Summer Reading Kickoff! Join us for a family friendly event as we kickoff Summer Reading 2019 with a program by Mike Bent, of AbraKidabra!™. He will perform his family friendly program for our Kickoff! Mike Bent has been voted Boston’s Best Children’s Entertainer by Nickelodeon, and “Best of Boston” by Boston Magazine. Join us for his “Blast off with Books!” Magic Show. Comedy, storytelling, music and some amazing magic combine to inspire kids to read all summer long! All ages! No registration!

Wednesday, June 26 @ 1:00-2:00 p.m.: Make and Take craft: Drop in to make a Fourth of July wreath. This program is for ages 3+ with adult helper. No registration, while supplies last!

Thursday, June 27 @ 10:30-11:30 a.m.: Lego Mania: Ages 5+ are welcome to join us for this drop in program. We provide the Legos, you bring the imagination. Legos creations displayed in the children’s room after the program, as space permits. No registration.
