Events at Bridgewater Public Library in August

In the Flora T. Little Art Gallery:  On Exhibit during the months of August and September is a photography collection titled "Visual Conversations"  by a group of photographers named the Imogenes.  Included in the group is photographer Deb Ehrens   Stop by and view the incredible work of art!

August 1 thru 31: Enter our Back to School Raffle to win back to school supplies!  Raffle tickets are $1.00 each or 6/$5.00.  Displayed and sold at the main circulation desk on the first floor.  Winner drawn on September 3! You do not need to be present to win.
 
Thursday, August 1 @ 10:30-11:00 a.m.:  Book Babies.  Lapsit for children up to 30 months with caregiver.  Join Mrs. Davis for rhymes, songs, story and playtime.  No registration.
 
Friday, August 2 @ 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.:  Family Yoga Series Program.  Caregivers and children will learn basic yoga postures through storytelling and songs. Families will practice mindfulness and relaxation as well as have fun! Everyone will come away with social and play skills in addition to learning how to be a mindful, less stressed family.  For children ages 3-7.  To register, call Nancy at Triumph. 508-822-5388 EXT. 208 Week 4.

Tuesday, August 27 @ 6:30 p.m.:  Hikes through History with author Alison O'Leary. In Massachusetts, many parks and trails have been carved out of historical sites. Author Alison O’Leary, an award-winning journalist and coauthor of the Appalachian Mountain Club’s new guide Best Day Hikes Near Boston, will share her favorites with you through this hour-long program. Using maps and historic photos, she describes several day trip destinations with historical significance and interesting features in Massachusetts.
